Layla’s Oasis favourite for British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes
Layla’s Oasis will be hoping for a strong run in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Stakes at Catterick in England on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. All of her opponents are young and inexperienced, thus no one can be rated as the
clear favourite to succeed.
However, Layla’s Oasis has appeared in a few races at this level and her confidence level will be high. She has been delivering some decent performances for her team and there is a solid chance for her to bag a cash prize of £3,170 from the class-5 contest.
There has been plenty of rain at Catterick, which has affected the racecourse. Despite that, the organisers are confident that the action will begin at 15:00 GMT, as there will be no more showers.
Looking at the performances of Layla’s Oasis, it seems that no one will be able to cause problems for her in the 5 furlong event. The punters will definitely be interested in placing the maximum number of bets on her, as they do not have a lot of options.
The two-year-old filly made her debut in August this year and gave a pretty decent performance in first ever outing. She was not expected to be competitive, but still finished in a respectable fourth place. This would have given her some confidence, as there
were some decent challengers up against her back then.
However, the Kevin Ryan’s trainee failed to make a solid impression in her next outing and had to settle for fifth place back then. She trained hard for her next race and came back strongly with a second place finish for the first time in her career. She
gave a tough time to her rivals, but was unable to take the top spot in the end.
Things got a bit tricky for the young filly during her next race, as the ground became heavy because of rain. Despite that, she did not have any problems and once again fought hard for a victory. She had to settle for the runner up place in the end, but
her team would have been really pleased with the overall performance.
Amy Ryan will be the one partnering Layla’s Oasis in the race at Catterick. They have come together for the first time and will be hoping for a positive result.
