Klose joined the Biancocelesti from Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the 2011/12 summer transfer window. The German international has been a revelation for the capital side as he netted eight goals in 13 league matches thus
far. Tare admitted that the club were in desperate need of a proven striker after last year’s failures in front of the goal.
The Albanian revealed that they had shortlisted several forwards in the summer and believes that Klose’s signing was a pure gamble because he is in the twilight of his career. Tare praised the former Werder Bremen star’s attitude
in the training ground and believes that he is a team player. He added that the striker makes a lot of sacrifices on the pitch and is a true motivator for others.
Tare revealed that he identified Klose and told the President, Claudio Lotito, and he had no issues with the signing. The chief insisted that he feels proud to have signed the German international because they were the only ones
to have believed in his potential.
Tare added, “We have already nicknamed him ‘Emperor Klose’, he has a mentality that is absolutely about winning. [The nickname] is in appreciation for the way in which he finds motivation to train during the week and the self-sacrifice
he has on the field.”
“The President believed in me to follow through with this to the end. It was not easy because Klose is of a certain age and last year he had not played regularly for Bayern. Yes, I feel a bit proud because we were the only ones
who believed in Miro’s potential.”
The former Bayern Munich star has been influential in leading his side to a strong start in the season. The Biancazzurri also signed Djibril Cisse in the summer but the Frenchman has failed to live up to the expectations of the
club thus far.
