Lazio striker, Mauro Zarate, has denied the rumours linking him with a move away from Biancocelesti in the summer transfer window.

Reports in the Italian media suggested that the Argentinean is not happy at the club and will be offloaded in the summer transfer window but the player has quashed all such rumours and insists that he will remain at Stadio Olimpico.
The former Birmingham City loanee wants to help the club win trophies in the future and believes that despite finishing 5th in the Serie A table, there is enough room for improvement for his team. The 24-year-old is
looking forward to play in the UEFA Europa League next year and wants to win the trophy for the fans.
Zarate said, "I have chosen to remain at Lazio. I don't want to leave. I still have three years left in my contract and I want to continue to do well with this team. Some people believe that last season was a negative one for me.
"I can only say that we didn't see the best Zarate and, hence, I wasn't satisfied with the campaign. I want to do better and I can still improve a lot."
A host of European clubs including Sunderland, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City have been linked with the player but now it seems like they will have to look elsewhere.
The striker joined Lazio in 2008 and was considered as a bargain buy after he formed a formidable strike partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Goran-Pandev-c15161 in his debut season. His versatility of playing just behind the striker and
as a lone forward upfront adds extra dimension to the Lazio attack.
Zarate has made 103 appearances since joining the Italian outfit and has also scored 25 goals thus far.
