Zenit St. Petersburg striker, Danko Lazovic, has blamed the Russian Premier League club after he was being denied a chance to complete a transfer to Dynamo Moscow during the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old forward, who joined the St. Petersburg club from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Bukharov-c4555 and
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 respectively.
The Serbian attacker came close to join Besiktas earlier this summer after the club’s sporting director,
Maxim Mitrofanov, put Lazovic on the transfer list after highlighting certain terms and conditions on which they will consider selling their player.
However the Turkish Super Lig club failed to reach an agreement with Zenit and the move reportedly hit the rocks due to financial terms. If speculations are to be believed, Besiktas refused to meet Zenit’s valuation of the player.
“I do not know what happened and why they removed my name from the first team. No one called me and nothing has been explained until now. I did not call anyone as I think it is not appropriate.”
“The coach does not want to see me but I still respect him because he must be thinking about the team, which should always come first. But I must admit that I have been through a difficult time.”
“I had an option to join Dynamo but Zenit did not let me go. It’s sad my transfer collapsed at the last moment.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Though clubs certain Serbian clubs and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 tried to steal Lazovic’s signatures this summer, Lazovic refused to play at lower league clubs. As things stand, Lazovic is yet to make a league appearance this season, having made
just 12 starts last season.
Lazovic told that he rejected a chance to move to Rostov-on-don this summer as he wanted to play for a bigger Russian or Turkish club.
