For somewhat lower electric bills.

Why buy a plasma TV?

To get more screen for your money.

To enjoy a movie-theater experience.

For a wide viewing angle.

Here's a great article http://ezhdtv.net/lcd-vs-plasma-tvs/ . Check it out helped me choose LCDs. You actually get more screen and technology for the money with LCDs.  LCDs are great for gaming and with the new resolution they provide a much better image quality. Hope this helps.
