Lcd or plasma? which is better after 40 inches?

i want to but a tv which is above 40 inches. what should i go for, an lcd or plasma?

Plasma without a doubt.

LCD for sure, it used to be that plasma's contrast ratio made it better but LCD is catching up, its far superior.

lcd, because large plasma screens dont have a great picturequality

Plasma - made for larger screens

LCD - 32" and below

I would say with current screens Plasma larger than 42inch but if on a wall you will see reflections on the glass.

Plasma over 50"

LCD up to 46"

as above 50" they only make plasma

below 46 LCD has the best picture quality, energy use and life.

As technology currently stands, plasma is a clear winner over LCD in larger screen sizes.
