Lcd television help please!?

Question

we just bought a new lcd tv.... the screen colour seems to be darker on one side than theother.

or possibly the screen maybe to light on one side.

either way what could be the problem with this?

also if anyone knows the problem how much will it cost to fix.

i can take it back to the shop as its brand new. but was just intrested in knowing..... thanks for all ur help....

Sound like a broken TV. Take it back to the store. They will replace it for free if you just bought it.

It definitely sounds like one of the backlights has gone.  You will need to return it to the shop for a replacement (which is a PITA, if they don't open 'til Monday!).

By the way, what make is it?  If it's a cheapo 'no-name' brand, you will have constant problems with it.

It's faulty.  Take it back.

The screens on lcd tvs have a light in the back to illuminate the screen. One has probably gone!! they can just change it quite easily for you.
