Lcd tv RCA to HDMI?

my tv has a HDMI and S-VIDEO i am are these better than the red,white and yellow connectors i think they are called RCA cables.. My cable box has the s-video i am thinking this will give mw a better picture will it? also my dvd player has a HDMI will this give me a better picture on my tv????????????

  1. hdmi is the best cable, so yes hook it to your dvd player you will get a better picture

    level of quality cables=

    RCA (or composite)

    S-Video

    Component

    VGA

    HDMI


  2. With S-VIDEO and Composite (you RCA cables) you can transfer just standard PAL/NTSC resolution.

    Consider that S-VIDEO does not carry audio and you need the red and white RCA connector too.

    However S-Video provides you with better quality as the Composite(yellow RCA ) as it uses 2 signal lines compared to one in Composite

    With HDMI you have High-Definition resolution and audio by one cable.

    I would recommend you to connect your cable box by S-VIDEO and your DVD player by HDMI to gain the best quality
