Lcd tv picture quality question?

I just bought a new toshiba regza hdtv. When i was playing my xbox 360 in 1080i hd, I noticed some jaggy textures on straight flat surfaces in the game? It sometimes may be far away or really close, This happens at odd points, but not all the time. Is this normal? its not too overwhelming, was just wondering.

It sounds as if your HD tv is just showing some imperfections in the game.
