LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Derrick Rose: Top performers from May 24
Eastern Conference Finals game-4
The Miami Heat came out big in the overtime, defeating the Chicago Bulls 101-93 in game-4 of the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena. Miami leads the best-of-seven series 3-1.
Here is a review of some of the most remarkable performances from game-4:
LeBron James turns on the heat
The Heat forward LeBron James scored a game-high 35 points, six assists, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks and helped the Heat turn the screws on the Bulls down the stretch again. King James scored 11-of-26 from the field
and fully utilized the available free throws, scoring 13-of-13.
It was James, who played his best defence against the leading scorer of the Bulls, Derrick Rose. With James guarding him, Rose shot 8-for-27 from the field and scored just one point in the last 70 seconds of the game and also missed
a crucial jumper in the last second of the regulation time, one that could have won the game for the Bulls.
Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said praised the outstanding performance of James and said, "I didn't even ask," "Le-Bron shoulders a big responsibility at both ends of the courts. He stepped up to the challenge. It's as tough a cover
as you can have in this league."
Trailing by five points after three quarters, James turned it on in the fourth quarter and proved once again, that he could be a strong finisher for the Heat, scoring 13 of his points in the fourth.
Rose praised the great defence of James and said, "LeBron played good defence.” "It was on line but just a little bit short."
Bulls fail to stop Bosh again
After his explosive performance in game-3, Chris Bosh followed James with 22 points and six assists for the Heat. The power forward shot 6-of-12 from the field and fired 10-of-11 from the free throw line.
Mike Miller’s makes a mark
Reserve Mike Miller came off the bench with a productive game as he chipped in with 12 points for the victors, including some big shots in the fourth. The 31-year-old hit 5-of-8 shots from the field with nine rebounds, one assist,
and one steal in 26 minutes of play. The injury plagued sharp shooter had his first impactful game of the postseason, going 2-for-5 from 3-point range.
Derrick Rose’s team-high 23
Chicago Bulls third year guard Derrick Rose propelled his team with 23 points, six assists and three rebounds in 45 minutes of action.
However, the league MVP kept struggling with his poor shooting from the field, 8-for-27.
The 22-year-old admitted that his contribution was not enough and said, "Tonight, definitely it was on me. I had two opportunities to end the game. Could not do it. If anything, learn from it. Too many turnovers. Really was my
fault but I am going to learn from it."
