LeBron James, Derrick Rose, noticeable players from Round 1-Game 2, NBA Playoffs
Two games took place in the Round 1 of Eastern Conference playoffs on Monday, April 18th, 2011. It was the day of the heavy weights as Miami Heat routed the Philadelphia
76ers, 94-73 and Chicago Bulls defeated the Indiana Pacers 96-90.
Miami Heat
Miami Heat was on fire in the second game of Round 1 of the Eastern Conference. The Big Three triggered more shots than the Sixers starters combined.
James’ all round game
LeBron James was at the forefront of the Heat squad, leading them with his robust shots and clinching 10-of -19 shooting from the field. The player finished with 29 points,
grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists in the big victory. The All-Star forward also shot a commendable 8-of-10 from the free throw zone and also chipped in with a block attempt on the opposition’s shot. The superstar later said, "It was a really
complete game for us at both ends of the floor."
Bosh’s 21-11
Chris Bosh followed "King" James with 21 points and 11 rebounds, hence clinching a double-double in the victory. He also made three steals and a block on the opposition’s
shot and was a tremendous 9-for-13 from the field.
Wade overcoming migraine nightmares
Dwyane Wade overcame his migraine that had confined him from practice on Sunday and scooped out 14 points in 34 minutes of action. The All-Star guard finished with a 4-for-11
shooting from the field and also grabbed six boards in the win.
Chicago Bulls
Rose- 22 going 36
Derrick Rose was truly awesome! The point guard was once again instrumental in steering his team towards the victory. The 22-year-old lifted the Bulls up with 36 points,
pulled off eight caroms, assisted six shots. He shot 12-of-13 free throws and recorded an 11-for-25 shooting from the field.
Happy to clinch the second game and lead with 2-0 in the series, the Bulls point guard said, "We're very happy to be here, of course. We won't take anything back. But our
play has to get better. We have to be more smooth, more efficient especially at the defensive end. We have to try a lot harder."
Boozer on the loose end
Carlos Boozer clinched a brilliant double-double in the win. He scored 17 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and pinned 5-of-9 free throws in 42 minutes of action, making the team
realize what a good decision they had made after acquiring him.
Deng- going for 14
Loul Deng contributed 14 points in the win. The player knocked the opposition by pinning 7-of-8 free throws to go along with six rebounds in 39 minutes.
