LeBron James, Dwight Howard - Solid NBA draft pick of the last decade - Part 3
Chris Paul-2005
Definitely the best pick from the 2005 draft along with Deron Williams. He was selected as fourth overall by New Orleans Hornets and won the rookie of the year award for his all round abilities.
Paul with an ordinary average but kept improving it every year. He has a heart of a true champion because despite of the injuries, he has come back again and again to prove that he is the best. His future in his current team is
in question because of the overall team performance which is slightly on a downhill.
Dwight Howard-2004
Dwight Howard, the number one pick of the 2004 NBA draft has over the years single handedly won his team, the Orlando Magic, many matches. This guy can be compared to the great Shaquille O'Neal because of his extra ordinary abilities.
He is a delight to watch on the court and his dunks are cherished by millions around the world.
Howard has not won MVP yet but he is always close to getting it in votes. He is solely responsible for taking his team to playoffs every time but it is unfortunate that his team has not won any major championship yet.
LeBron James-2003
The two times MVP who was initially selected by Cleveland Cavaliers delivered what was expected of him, being the top draft. He has proved to be one of the best in the business over the years.
LeBron James is one of the players who have been able to maintain an excellent average throughout their career which just shows how consistent he is. He can change the game in minutes. On many occasions he has won his team matches
out of nowhere.
In 2010 he shifted to Miami Heat where now he has given himself a good chance of winning a championship by teaming up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.
Amare’ Stoudemire-2002
Amare Stoudemire won the 2003 rookie of the year and also proved that he was almost as good the top draft of 2002.
He is an incredible talent with an overall average on the high side and his eight years with Phoenix Suns have groomed him well and now he has moved to New York Knicks and hopefully will continue to play like a star. It is players
like Stoudemire that add an extra charm to the game and no wonder why he loved by so many across the globe.
Tony Parker-2001
The word “Consistency” comes to my mind when one thinks of Tony Parker. He was the 28th overall pick in the draft and has showed over the years that he deserved to be the top draft.
He was selected by San Antonio Spurs and is still with the same team. Tony has been the back bone of San Antonio Spurs and won his team three championships so far. Although, still very active, but only time will tell for how long
will he be able to perform as he is growing old with time and this might affect his performance.
