In the game 2 of the Eastern conference semi-final series, the versatile forward LeBron James blistered away with a game-high 35 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to power the Miami Heat for an exhilarating 102-91 victory at the American
Airlines Arena. Fired up with the determination to race away to the NBA finals, James smashed the opposition convincingly and didn’t let the Celtics to take control in all of the four quarters.
"That's our staple. We know the only way for us to win games, especially in the playoffs, is to play defence. Everyone has each other's back. If one guy gets beat, another steps up. They made a run, a heck of a run but we just
kept grinding, kept playing our principles, and we finally wore them down." James said.
James surged with an absolute superseding performance in the second half of the game and landed 24 points of his 35 to thrash the Celtics out of the game. Boston’s aggressive play down the stretch failed to overpower the might
of LeBron as the team dropped two games on the trot in the best-of seven games series.
Dwyane Wade
The All-Star Dwyane Wade picked up the slack along with the star of the night James and notched up 28 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assist to provide a significant support to the Heat. Wade was impressively instrumental on both sides
of the court and restricted the Celtics to dominate by defending the paint tremendously.
The Hall of Famer Doc Rivers said on Wade and James influential performance, "They're both playing very well. They've proven that they do this. They're going to get points, and I believed that going into the series. But they can't
be so efficient getting 'em."
Wade kept the score board ticking down the stretch and carried the action with LeBron in the defining moments of the game to remove all doubts in Miami’s smashing win.
Chris Bosh
The third big gun of the invincible trio Chris Bosh had a magnificent double-double as he racked up 17 points and clutched 11 rebounds to display a spectacular domination from the Big 3 of Miami Heat. Bosh also dished out 4 assists,
second-highest in the game and provided a big play with Wade to stimulate the defensive power that gave few chances to the Celtics to strike back.
Chris continued to support the team in all of the four quarter and freed up important opportunities for the frontrunners in clinching a brilliant victory.
Rajon Rondo
Rajon Rondo was the only player in the Celtics’ line-up who posted a decent performance considering Miami’s formidable game-play. The prolific guard landed a team-high 20 points, handed out 12 assists and gathered 6 rebounds to
save his team from an embarrassing defeat. Although, Rondo strived to strike back in the second half of the game however it’s very rare for any team to overpower the superstar trio single-handedly.
