LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose: Top performances from the May 18 NBA playoff games
On May 18th only one game, took place in the National Basketball Association (NBA), but that game turned out to be the most hardly fought and stoutly defended game witnessed so far in the post-season. Here is a detailed
insight into some of the most outstanding performances from the game-2 of the Eastern Conference Finals series between Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.
LeBron James’ game-high 29 points
After a rout in game-1, LeBron James was confident that Miami Heat had the ability to make a comeback into the series. He was right. James bounced back from a 15-point performance in game-1 and pounded a game high 29 points, 10
rebounds, five assists, and three steals, leading Miami to an 85-75 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. With the victory, the Heat evened up the series 1-1.
James was in supreme shooting touch on the night and went 12-of-21 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. In addition to that, he came up with a game turning three that initiated a vociferous surge down the stretch,
giving Heat a 10-point win.
Dwyane Wade’s excellent 24
Dwyane Wade added the fuel that the Heat so badly required in the game-2. The 29-year-old guard scooped out 24 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, while hitting 8-of-16 field shots.
After the win that neutralized Chicago’s home court advantage, Wade said, “We got that one that we needed.” "Now, we go home and we've got to take care of business. This team right here is like us. They can win at home and on the
road."
Udonis Haslem’s huge bench effort
Miami got a huge bench effort from the 30-year-old Udonis Haslem, who had 13 points and five rebounds in the victory. The Heat forward made a fantastic comeback, making five of 10 attempts and all three of his free throws. Haslem
was also solid at the defence.
Wade appreciated the sizzling performance of Haslem and said, “He is the player of this game,” “We do not win this game without him. That is our warrior, our heartbeat of the team. And he showed it today.”
Derrick Rose’s team-high 21 points

The league MVP, Derrick Rose, led the Bulls with a team-high 21 points in the defeat. The guard also contributed eight assists and six rebounds for the Bulls. However, the 22-year-old was miserable from the field, going 7-for-23.
