Each player plays a significant role in a team’s wins and losses. There are many performances that help a team win, and even those performances that are made in losses carry equal importance. Here is a review of some of the most
noticeable performances given by different teams and players in the 13 contests that took place on March 31st
2011.
Turkoglu firing the Hawks
Hedo Turkoglu was on fire in the contest against the Atlanta Hawks. The player notched eight points, pulled out four boards, dished out three assists, and made a steal on Orlando’s possession. Thanks to his efforts, Orlando kept
chasing the Atlanta Hawks closely into the second quarter, 27-25. The forward scooped out 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in what was almost win for Orlando.
Smith while Hawks pinned the Magic
Josh Smith was incredible in Atlanta’s victory. The player scored 26 points, grabbed six rebounds and made two steals along with pinning three 3-pointers in the win.
Diaw- Charlotte Bobcats
Boris Diaw was truly the best player of the game that was an intense chase from the beginning till the end. The player scored 26 points including the last four points, comprising of a game winning free throw before the buzzer beater.
The player also dished out 11 assists to lead his team past the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Collison pacing the Pacers
Darren Collison played brilliantly for Indiana Pacers. The Pacers guard posted 20 points to help his team surge past the Detroit Pistons. He finished with a 9 for 11 shooting from the field and notched 2 of 2 free throws in the
win. The player has now secured a 17 of 20 shooting from the field in the previous two games.
McRoberts career high 13 rebounds
Josh McRoberts was also hot in the win. The player clinched his fourth double-double of the season by scoring 15 points, and grabbing 13 rebounds that were his career high.
Indiana’s coach Frank Vogel complimented his team’s efforts when he said, "I thought our focus and concentration was very strong. Our depth is probably our greatest strength. We're playing as a team, playing together. When we do
that we're pretty good. We've got great balance."
Stuckey holding Detroit up
Rodney Stuckey led the Pistons with 24 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and was just one assist shy of a double-double. The player posted 10 of 20 shots in over 36 minutes and also made two steals in that time.
Young hitting for Sixers
Thaddeus Young played efficiently for the Sixers from off the bench. The player posted 22 points along with nine rebounds finishing on an 11 for 19 shooting from the field. The 22-year-old proved to everyone how tenacious he can
be and gave silent message to the opponents to be careful.
Bogut bugging off Toronto Raptors
Andrew Bogut highlighted the game for Milwaukee. The Bucks center scored 17 points on an 8 for 12 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds in the huge win. The player also made two steals in over 37 minutes of action.
Miami’s another big three night
The Big Three after their 30-10 night once again combined to clinch a game of the similar ascent. LeBron James posted team high 35 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out eight assists hitting 12 of 16 shots. Dwyane Wade
followed with 33 points and nine assists on an 11 for 17 shooting from the field. Chris Bosh scooped out 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
