LeBron James: Top Active players in NBA without a Championship ring (Part-1)
For a player in any sport, the biggest objective is to win championships and mark his name among the top achievers. In every sport, there are a number of outstanding players with extra special abilities; however some of them, even
with their exceptional gifts, fail to nab a championship title in their career.
The history of National Basketball Association is also filled with a number of brilliant players, who were capable of winning a championship ring, but finished their career without the honour. Among them were player, whose bodies
just failed to bear the burden of the game and also people, who just couldn’t break the jinx.
At present, there are many active NBA players who have astonished the world with their supreme talent; however they are still struggling to accomplish their dream of nabbing an NBA title. Here is the list of most capable active
NBA players without a championship ring.
LeBron James
Talking about the most talented active players without the Championship ring, the first name that clicks in the mind is none other than Miami Heat’s small forward LeBron James.
The 26-year-old James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick during the 2003 NBA Draft. James went on to win the Rookie of the Year award with an outstanding average of 20.9 points, 5.9 assists and 5.5
rebounds per game in his first season. From there on, LeBron James kept on soaring and scoring and soon earned the reputation of the best player in the league.
However, despite of seven dominating seasons in Cleveland Cavaliers uniform, James’ dream to clinch an NBA title remained unfulfilled. This was because; he was the lone ranger fighting in a team of average players and failed to
receive support from his former teammates.
On the quest of accomplishing the championship mission, James brought his talent to the South Beach before the 2010-2011 season, where he formed a formidable trio with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Having the three best players of
the league on the roster, the consensus extensively supported Miami Heat to be the next champions.
They were well on their way.
LeBron James’ unyielding domination was the highlight of the last season as he raced away confidently into the NBA Finals with his new teammates. However the veteran Dallas Mavericks came in the way of James’ expedition in the
NBA Finals. Fuelled by the exceptional Dirk Nowitzki, the Mavs ripped apart the favourites Heat and won the Larry O’ Brien trophy for the first time in their 31 year old franchise history.
The major reason of Miami’s defeat in the finals was the chocking act of LeBron James.  James failed to deliver for his team in crunch situations and the Heat lost a hard fought series 4-2. However he is not done just as yet. He
might have lost a chance to seal his first championship title; however, he still has a long way to go. James is a gifted a star as the league has seen in the last decade and has one of the best supporting cast in the business. It won’t be long before he finally
breaks the jinx.
