LeBron James: When
will the abomination end for the Miami Heat’s superstar? NBA Feature
The two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) LeBron James, who entered the world of NBA as the ‘Chosen One’, has never been linked to any serious controversies like performance-enhancing drugs or violating league rules and yet he is
the most hated player in NBA.
James, who was once the heartthrob of the Cleveland Cavaliers, became the villain number one not only in Cleveland but across the NBA, barring Miami off course, when he decided to take his talents to South Beach in search of a
Championship ring. After seven dominating seasons with the Cavaliers, James adorned the Miami Heat jersey last season. Accompanied by the likes of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, James made an instant impact and took the Heat to the NBA Finals as the title favourites.
However, it all came apart in the Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. James choked when the Heat needed him to take over and Miami lost the Finals 4-2 against the spirited veterans from Dallas. This gave the James’ basher a brand
new opportunity to mock James and jab at both his ability and past attitude. And it seems that the hate factor keeps on enhancing by the day.
James had maintained composure against his bashers throughout the season, but after the Finals heartbreak, he responded.  “All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and
have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.”
However, that is not the case. In fact, that was never the case otherwise people would have moved a few months after James came to Miami
Now, the question is when the hate will end for the Miami Heat’s superstar?
The only thing that can silence all the haters is LeBron winning a couple of Championships with the Heat to justify his shift. That however will take some time.
Los Angeles Lakers legendary player Kobe Bryant received a great deal of abhorrence as well when he had a scuffle with Shaquille O’Neal and the big man left the team. Both the players helped Lakers to win 3 successive championships.
However, all the hatred started to fade away when Kobe proved himself with two consecutive titles.
James is the best player of his generation and only lacks an NBA title in his resume. This is what LeBron needs to do, win a number of championships and shrug away all the abomination.
