LeBron James all praise for Dwyane Wade as Miami Heat close series against Indiana Pacers – NBA News
The Miami Heat All Star forward LeBron James called his partner Dwyane Wade’s performance “spectacular” after the Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers in game 6 to win the Eastern Conference Semi Finals 4-2 and book a place in the
Eastern Conference Finals.
Miami trailed 1-2 in the series at one point after losing two straight games in a row to the Pacers. Dwyane had a poor game 2 and game 3, where he went 2 of 13 from the field. He, however, came back strong in game 4 scoring 30
points and then scored 41 points Thursday in game 6 to seal the victory for the Heat.
“He was spectacular from the beginning to the end. He got in the rhythm early and just kept it going throughout the whole game,” said James.
James was also all praise for coach Erik Spoelstra, who made a few necessary adjustments after his team went down 1-2 in the series. The adjustments proved right, as Miami won the next three games to take the series 4-2.
"Coach Spo' from Game Three on made some unbelievable adjustments that allowed us to do the things that we did. He put us in a position offensively and defensively to make the plays, to help us to win. Just as he says that we played
spectacularly, he coached spectacularly this series” added James.
Wade, while talking to reporters after the game, said that he did not do anything different since game 3 except for keeping hope and belief and kept playing the way he usually does.
“Sometimes you have a bad game, it happens. All I did was to continue to play basketball the way I always have, sometimes you struggle, sometimes the ball is not going in” said Wade.
Indiana coach Frank Vogel admitted that James and Wade played terrific throughout the series and the Pacers could not find a way to stop them.
“They were terrific tonight, they were really terrific the whole series," said Vogel.
The Miami Heat now have a few days rest as they wait till Saturday to find out their opponent in the Eastern Conference Finals. Philadelphia will play against the Boston Celtics in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals,
with the winner going through to face Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals.
