LeBron James is going to be the Most Valuable Player next season: NBA Feature (Part-2)
Whatever the opinion people might have made for LeBron James, after he shifted his talents into the South beach in a bid fulfil his Championship dream, no one can take away one thing from the Miami Heat superstar - his reputation
of being the best player in the league.
After being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick during the 2003 NBA Draft, James transformed the worst team of the league into one of the best teams on the circuit and guided them on the top in the Eastern
Conference single-handedly.
After spending seven dominating season in the Cavaliers uniform, James still didn’t have a championship ring and he decided to join Miami Heat to accomplish bigger dreams.
Coming into Miami, James was at odds to maintain his reputation of being the best man on the team. With Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the same team, it is never easy to do that. Yet, James delivered. He remained a constant double-double
threat and when the team needed him to play second fiddle to Wade, he unselfishly took that role.
Last season, James was a centre, he was a point guard and was also a small forward and a best one at that. He had a big share in making Miami one of the most fierce contender for the championship last season and is the very reason
that the Heat are already being tipped to win it all next season.
Considering LeBron James is now the best player in the best team of NBA, he fulfils one of the major requirements to be named as the Most Valuable Player in the next season.
However, there are countless examples when NBA players failed to clinch the MVP award despite of posting the best performances.
Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant perfectly fit into this equation. The former is the best centre in the league and he has been for some time. Howard has won the Defensive Player of the Year on the last three times running and has
been an All-Star ever since he came into the league. However time and again, he fails to make it to the MVP title.
Same is the case with Durant. He has been the league’s leading scorer for two straight years now, but has never been considered an MVP material.
The reason for this is that these players were not able to make their team, the best in the regular season. Nobody expected Chicago Bulls to prosper the way they did last season and Rose got the award. However, the same will not
be the case next season and James will once again have his way clear to the MVP glory.
