LeBron James makes an appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman" – NBA Update
Miami Heat got crowned the NBA Champions on Thursday night for the second time in franchise history and holding the Larry O’Brien trophy to show for a hard fought season changed a lot for several Miami players, especially the Finals and league MVP, LeBron
James.
Heat held their victory parade in Miami on Monday night and the celebrations have been ongoing ever since.
Following up the parade, the contingent big three of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade have been making television appearances in New York on Tuesday night.
Last night, LeBron made an appearance on CBS`s "Late Show with David Letterman". Letterman who was not a big fan of James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers and moving over Miami was impressed with the way the three times MVP has become a face of the Heat organization.
"Nobody loves a winner more than basketball fans, and you certainly are the big winner." – Letterman told James during the show.
When asked about what has changed now after James was finally been able to get the all elusive NBA Championship, which was the main reason for him leaving behind the Cavaliers franchise, LeBron remarked.
“I went from being ringless on Wednesday night to, you know, having a ring on Thursday night," James said. "So it changed that."
Later on in the show, Letterman discussed with what kind of challenges team USA will have to face in the upcoming London Olympics with James, who has previous experience of representing the United States in Beijing and Athens.
In response to Letterman`s question, James was highly realistic that it is going to be tough for team USA to go over there and defend their gold medal as Argentina, Spain and France all present a tough challenge to them in the Olympics.
"Team USA, we try to go out there and showcase our talent at the highest level and represent our country the right way," James said. "So, you know, we always look forward to bringing home the gold."
The Big Three of Miami are on a media tour following up to the title celebrations. Last night, Bosh made an appearance on “Live! With Kelly" while at the same time Wade was present at the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" Show.
All three are supposed to make an appearance on “The View” on Wednesday and have already recorded a show with Oprah Winfrey which is going to be aired on Sunday night.
