LeBron James retorts back at his critics - NBA Update
After getting lambasted over his performances in the 2011 National Basketball Association Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron James has finally retorted back at his critics, saying he does not think much about such people,
who have always criticized him over his failures and never appreciated his efforts.
LeBron said he never tried to gratify such people, "Absolutely not, because at the end of the day, all the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that
they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.
"They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point."
James, who scored with an average of 23.7 points in each game of the playoff, tallied just 17.8 points against the Mavs in every game. Moreover, the Heat had to pay for his consistently deprived performances against the Mavs in
the final quarter of the game.
In the first five contests with the Mavs, James made just in 11 points in final 12 minutes of the game, a major reason behind success of Dallas, because it allowed them to pull back in the fourth quarter, first Dirk Nowitzki and
company did it in game-2 and then in game-4. Though he added seven points in the fourth quarter of game-6, but he remained uninspiring in the first three quarters of the game, so his effort didn’t affect the game much.
The veteran player is also not satisfied with his performance and said he feels that Miami’s failure was felt to him as personal failure and it hurts him a lot. Once again after losing the NBA finals, James’ critics are now trying
to attach this stigma with him that King chokes when it comes to big games, as he failed to inspire especially during clutch situations.
However, James is a tough competitor and in this horrific period, he is still looking to discover some good things to take back out of this competition, as he doesn’t want to hang his head low. James believes that he has always
tried to play for his teammates and he gets angry with himself him when he let them down like this.
