LeBron James scores 31 as the Miami Heat rout the Sacramento Kings 117-97
After a maverick effort in the All-Star game, which nearly propelled the East to come from behind win, LeBron James erupted with a 31 point blitz as the Miami Heat romped to a 117-97 win over the Sacramento Kings, tying their the best start in franchise
history after 57 games.
The inexorable trio of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 76 points as men from the south beach raced to their 11th win in the last 12 games in style.
Miami was playing their first game in the second half of the season at their home court and it was being considered a trap game as the Big 3 had a bit of cross country travel fatigue. However, the Heat shot 72 percent from the field in the first quarter
to break the game. By the time, the first half ended, The Heat were already leading by 19 points. It was all a one way traffic after that.
"I don't think we have the type of guys that would let this be a trap game because we're focused on our goals”. Chris Bosh stated after the win.
The first quarter domination 35-16 by Heat leaved no option for the Kings to gain any sort of momentum. Wade and James combined for 22 points in the first period, blowing the Kings apart early. The Kings showed some more intensity in the second and managed
to level the frame at 28 each. Heat however sustained their 19 points lead as the game progressed into the second half.
The third quarter added another 4 points to the deficit for the Kings and made it impossible for the visiting team to retaliate. A diminutive success moment occurred for Kings in the final moments by leading the fourth quarter 27-24 as heat cherished a massive
20 points margin victory.
Dwayne wade finished with 23 points and Chris Bosh gathered 22. Dalembert scored a team-high 18 for Sacramento Kings as second half of the season started on a low note for them.
Miami Heat is marching forward tremendously with the most number of wins 42 in the Eastern Conference. There is no stopping for the Big 3 as they continue to dominate the opposition comprehensively.
Two Big meetings take place for Heat against Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks this week. A vigorous showdown is approaching as the Big 3 faces the aggression of Derrick Rose on Thursday and opposes the two offensive powers Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire
together for the first time.
