Lead for pc 2 tv help needed

hello there just bought a lg plasma tv and want to connect my pc to the tv to watch divx movies etc what lead will i need and is there a difference in picture to the price of the lead also been told i need to make sure the lead Carry's sound and picture any help will be appreciated thanks novice no1

you need 2 leads: hdmi to dvi lead for video image and 3.5mm stereo jack to twin RCA audio lead for sound.

Depends on what connections you have on your PC and TV

most common

D-Sub connectors - standard VGA monitor connection

better is

DVI PC output - HDMI TV

and best of all is

HDMI -HDMI - this is the only combination to carry vision and sound

D-sub and DVI/HDMI connections need a seperate audio feed, in which case your tv may have a dedicated D_Sub or HDMI socket with additional audio conections
