Anyone know the different types of leaf comositions I know Bipinate is one of them what r the rest.

  1. These are the different types of leaf divisions.

    1. Simple- single undivided unbranched leaves. An example of this would be an oak leaf.

    Next we have the compound leaves of which there are three.

    1. Pinnately Compound- A compound leaf with leaflets arising at initervals along each side of an axis or leaf stalk. An example here would be an ash leaf.

    2. Bipinnately Compound- Twice pinnately compound. A pinnately compound leaf being again divided. A good example of this would be a Kentucky Coffee Tree leaf.

    3. Palmately Compound- A compound leaf with leaflets arising from one point. Leaflets like the spreading fingers of a hand. This is seen in the vine Virginia Creeper or in the Money Trees some people keep in their homes.

    Last but not least is Trifoliate.

    This is a compound leaf with three leaves arising from one point. A good example of this is Posion Ivy or Posion Oak.
