League Strugglers Ottawa Senators lose 1-0 against the inform Boston Bruins as Bruins' backup goalie shined

The bottom placed team in the Eastern Conference, Ottawa Senators played host to the Boston Bruins at the Scotiabank Arena this Tuesday.
The game was pretty much one sided with the Bruins being the stronger of the two teams but the Senators came up with quite a fight.
The game started off with both teams coming up with decent performances during the first two periods but the Bruins scored in the final period.
This was the only goal of the game which resulted in the Bruins winning the game 1-0.
Tuukka Rask, goalkeeper of Bruins, was named the star of the game as he made 33 saves during the shutout performance.
A cautious start to the game was observed with both teams reluctant to go on the attack which was unusual for the Bruins.
Bruins didn’t want to face any upset while the Senators didn’t want to come up with another embarrassing defeating, something which they have accustomed to facing during the season.
However, the period moved on with both teams attacking more and more with the passage of time.
It looked as if a goal would most definitely be scored but this didn’t happen as the period ended with the scores deadlocked on 0-0. During the course of the first period, the Senators made 10 goal attempts while the Bruins made six goal attempts.
The second period followed on the same roads with the teams coming up with a few more shots on target when it came to this period. The brilliance in the game and passing continued and caught the eyes of many around the fans and NHL world.
Chance came and went for both the teams but they couldn’t score. The Bruins also came up with some decent goal attempts but weren’t able to scored during the 20 minutes of play. The period ended with the Senators firing shots on goal every now and then.
The period and the game ended with the scores still level on 0-0. During the course of the period the Senators made 14 goal attempts while the Bruins made 9 goal attempts.
The final 20 minutes of play saw the Bruins coming up with an absolutely brilliant performance at the start.
Not only this, but the Bruins were able to score a brilliant goal through Nathan Horton that put them in the lead in the second minute. The game moved on with the Senators coming up with regular shots on goal but they weren’t able to score any goals as the
game ended with the Bruins winning.
During the course of the period the Bruins made six goal attempts while the Senators made nine goal attempts.
The win puts the Bruins level on points with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the second spot in the Eastern Conference. This was also their sixth consecutive win.
