Leaked trailer of Rayman Legends reveal details of Nintendo’s Wii U
Despite all the efforts to keep the details of Wii U hidden, a leaked trailer of Rayman Legends has revealed few of the console’s features.
The general public and Nintendo’s competitors have finally gotten a look at Wii U’s functionality, graphics, the touch control and near-field communication capabilities.
Nintendo was presumably looking to keep the details of their latest console hidden until E3, where it was to be introduced through a proper presentation. The company had planned to introduce Wii U to the public, highlighting the features that would help
the company to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.
The leaked trailer of Rayman Legends, one of the first titles that will be getting released on the new console, showed the gameplay footage during its first few minutes. The graphics are indeed beautiful and finally reached a standard where they can be compared
with that of Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The first half of Rayman Legends’ trailer also demonstrates the utilisation of tablets and Wii remotes by the players to control the game in various ways. The combination of touch and button control seems like a promising addition to the new console and
will definitely serve to add up to the experience of the players.
The trailer further went on to reveal what is probably one of the standout features of Wii U. The console was shown reacting to different objects placed on the tablet screen, which it translated into in-game power-ups and other cool effects.
Nintendo has plenty of reason to worry about the Rayman Legends trailer hitting the internet and revealing what the company has in store for gamers in the near future. The company has been struggling to expand its market over the last few years, primarily
due to the failure of meeting the standards set up by the Sony and Microsoft console, both of which were not offering breath-taking graphics, but also coming up with titles that were becoming instant hits.
Even though the video of gameplay footage has been removed from YouTube, it is difficult to measure just how much impact it has on Nintendo and the launch of Wii U.
