  1. First, you need to pull out the dipstick and inspect the fluid. If it is clear and red, with no cloudy appearance, and doesn't smell burnt, your fluid is OK.

    If there is something blocking the vent, you are probably going to have to take it to a transmission repair shop and have them find the cause.


  2. Pull it out and clean the tube and hole where it goes in real good. Put a thin skin of hi temp silicone on the part of the tube that goes into the block and reinsert it. Shouldn't leak after it dries.

      Pull it out and wrap the end with teflon pipe thread tape. Tap it back in.
