Leaking around the group

Question

My ECM Giotto is 3 years old and recently started leakin. I called the place where I bought it and they suggested it might need new gaskets around the group. I received them but have no idea how to remove the old one which has become very hard. I am not mechanical and do not want to do any damage. Please help.
