Are you sure it's not a heater hose? Maybe a heater core or heater core nipple. A lot of cars have plastic intake manifolds. It could be that, which would be a real pain to fix. You need to get in there and just find the leak for starters. I know it's messy, but someone has to do it. If you are not going to fix it yourself, then let a shop find the leak in the course of their work.
