Leandro Domingues ecstatic at the prospect of a shocking J-League title
As J-League heads towards its closing stages, newly promoted http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kashiwa-Reysol-c39676 are also heading to their shocking J-League title. Most of the football pundits have regarded it a huge upset in Japanese football, but Reysol’s Leandro Domingues reckons that Kashiwa
were always a threat to Division 1 outfits since the start of this year’s campaign.
The attacking midfielder was talking after his side’s 2-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shimizu-S-Pulse-c40506 on Sunday. The two teams locked heads on November 20 with Kashiwa maintaining their top spot on the table. Masato KUDO and Leandro Domingues scored goals for the visitors,
while Bosnar scored the only goal for the home side.
Domingues told that his team were never tipped to even finish in top half at the start of this season. He hailed his side for their achievements and was confident of lifting the J-League title in two weeks time.
The Sun Kings manager, Nelsinho Baptista, also showed gratitude to his players and praised their untiring efforts this term. Baptista told that he never thought of achieving such great feat especially having qualified from Division 2.
The Brazilian midfielder further stated:
"Even before the season started it was never our intention just to make up the numbers. We came up with the aim of winning and have been up there at the top since the start of the season.
"We will prepare for our next game against Cerezo Osaka trying to focus the way we have in all the other games."
Nelsinho, on the other hand, reserved praise for his Brazilian midfielder who has been ominous throughout the 2011/12 campaign. The tactician also promised bonuses to his players should they win the title and urged them to finish the jon against Cerezo Osaka
and Urawa Reds.
Kashiwa are currently atop the league table with 68 points from 32 games and are closely followed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gamba-Osaka-c39399 are not far behind with 64 points.
The Sun Kings would ideally need to record a win and a draw from their next two games in order to put their hands on the title.
