Leapfrog leapster hand held console

the touch screen does'nt work? cleanes scean and pen, tried re callirating as shown on leapfrog site by holding down home, hint and a button etc. and you are then supposed to see a target on the screen that you toudh with the pen....there is no target on our screen?

can you help?
