Learn Chinese - how to start?

I would like to start to learn Chinese after Beijing Olympic Games. Are there any recommended sites or schools? What is the best way to learn Chinese? How can I learn to read and write Chinese quickly?

I doubt you're going to be able to find a place that can actually provide you with enough resources and that can devote enough time to you without you paying for it. It is a VERY complex language. For example, every character you write to spell out anything has a special ORDER in which you make the lines and an exact way it should look. It's a lot different than our language.
