Learn to bring the trainer, Aidan O’Brien, the seasonal success through the Easy Clean Ltd. Race
The Easy Clean Ltd. Race will be hosted by Killarney over a mile and 100 yards on Tuesday, 17th July. The race has attracted a line-up of seven three-year and older runners who will strive to close in on the distance in order to get entitled to
the €7,935 prize money.
One of the most promising entry on the line-up today is Galileo’s three-year-old bay colt, Learn, who has raced only twice during the new season, but has been able to improve drastically through the short experience.
His improvised form was evident through the third position he secured after missing the seasonal debut due to the fifth ranking.
The season welcomed the Kentucky Warbler foaled in 2009 in the Coolmore Stud China Ireland Friendship Silver Stakes (Listed Race) on 10th June, 2012 at Curragh over a mile and two furlongs.
The race was won by the favourite entry, Sharestan, who was riding with jockey, N. G. McCullagh. He defeated Defining Year by just half a length. In the field of seven, Learn managed to hold on to the fifth position.
The Aidan O’Brien’s under charge with rider, C O’ Donoghue, was prominent during the initial phases of the race, but then as the race reached its final concluding moments, Learn faded from the group that led.
The next attempt of the season of the Churchtown House Stud bred was in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship Celebration Stakes (Listed Race) on 30th June, 2012 at Curragh over a mile.
Second time in a row, the race was won by Sharestan who once again was entered as the favourite candidate.
As in the previous race, the M. Tabor, D. Smith & Mrs. John Magnier owned broke strongly from the second stall and did not wait for long to lead. By the time the last two furlongs remained to be battled over, the three-year-old had made smooth progress,
but had to compromise with the rankings inside the final furlong.
The runner-up of the race was, Mizani.
The Irish bay colt will need to look out for Regulation who has broken the maiden successfully just during the previous start.
Learn has proved himself at Curragh and should not disappoint the connections when racing for a third time during the season that too at a moderate level than he has raced before.
