Learner's permit and drivers license question?

when you pass your knowledge test for your leaners permit you are given a booklet to record your driving hours. if i lost this booklet do i need it for my drivers license test or can i write down the hours on a spreadsheet or peice of paper and have my parents sign it??

  1. I think it depends on the laws of your particular state, but I live in Maryland, and when I got my permit, I promptly lost the driving hours record book. My aunt just wrote all the info down on a sheet of paper and signed it.

    If you aren't sure, I would call the DMV and ask.


  2. Depends on the laws of the state, but most of them gave you a form to use for a reason, and want the information on their form.  Since you're asking "If I lost..." I assume you haven't yet.  Don't.

  3. i bet your in georgia like me...just get a new booklet..they wont accept a paper
