Learners Permit Valid Out of Illinois?

I just got my learners permit and my family is going on a vacation and we are driving. Is it legal for me to drive on that permit out of state or is it only legal in Illinois? (I know i still have to be with an adult that has a license.)

To get the correct answer since you will not find it on the internet, you will need to call the Illinois and the other states police departments and ask if they allow this because many states do not permit this even with your parents in the car.....
