Learners Permit in Pa?

I heard you can't get your learners permit until your 17 if you were born in 1993 or after (1994, 1995 etc). Is that true?

no.  you can get it at 16 but you have to have your permit for 6 months have 50 hours of documented driving hours--although easily forged.  then you will get a cinderella license until you are 18.  the cinderella license has certain restrictions but its a license non the less.  good luck.  oh and your parent can revoke your license or permit until your 18.  just ask my daughter who use to have a learners permit :)
