I want to learn how to read Egyptian Hieroglyphs can anyone recommend any books?

I asked one of the senior curators in the Egyptian department at the British Museum the same question a couple of months ago, and he recommended this book. He was the illustrator for it!

It's a great book, it starts you right from the beginning, and has study exercises in it for you to practice on. It will take to to a medium level. It's a recommended starter for anyone learning hieroglyphs.

i recommend you learn something that is still in use because then you can still use it

I have never heard of the books; however, I do know that the man who broke the code used the Rosetta stone.  If you check it out on wikipedia, maybe you can find out some information there.
