  1. They've got a place that rents boards and gives lessons on weekends right next to the pier on the famous Beach Boardwalk. The waves are small enough to learn on and have a long run, especially during the current season. Have lot's of fun!

  2. I've heard good things about Richard Schmidt Surf School. Here's the link to their site: http://www.richardschmidt.com/

    And here's the prices:

GROUP LESSONS for $80 per person (two-hour class). Any subsequent group lesson is $60 per person. No more than four students per instructor

SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS are available (2-3 students per instructor) are $100 per person (two-hour class)

PRIVATE LESSONS with a STAFF INSTRUCTOR are available at $80 per hour

PRIVATE LESSONS with RICHARD is $100 per hour

They also have lots of positive testimonials on their site if you wanna take a look. I've never taken lessons there, but I'm considering doing the week-long surf camp over the summer. Maybe someone with a firsthand experience can give you a better suggestion, but this is as much as I know. Have fun on your trip!

  3. You lucky devil, i wish i were coming with you, enjoy yourself.
