Question:

Learning SIGN LANGUAGE?

Well, school has just begun and I've recently noticed a few deaf kids in my school/grade. I have a girl in my class, no one ever talks to her, or even puts forth an effort to talk to her, and I really want to make her feel comfortable, I feel bad for her. I mean, they're normal, they just can't hear, I don't understand why people would exclude her so much.

Anyways; I want to be able to introduce myself to her and have a basic convo or something, to make her feel welcome. Is there a free website that can teach the basics?

Oh and I pretty much mastered the alphabet already, I wanna learn like the signs for other things.

Thanks in advance!

xx

  1. Contact your local state Deaf and Blind agency. They usually teach sign language in the evenings. The only cost is the book. If you know which book in advance- you can get it on ebay for nearly nothing. Some agencies even have loaner books.

Also, if you live in a larger city- many of the churches teach signing.

  2. I think this will be easy for you to translate it to her.

  3. IT'S EASY :D but of course no one can teach you that here :p it because the one who will teach you should show it to you
