Learning Snake Style Kung-Fu in Southern Maine, Not Online.?

Question

I want to learn all the techniques because it sounds really cool, but I'm very serious about learning. I want a very good teacher because I plan to take it for self defense and if I do good in snake style, I will try others until I am a master and I'll teach it to others. I would also like to learn the Snake Points.

Keep in mind the two major divisions of Kung Fu:

1. Shaolin Temple (Buddhist)

Shaved head; 'hard' style of kung fu.  Believed in 'reincarnation'.

Long haired; 'soft' style of kung fu.  Believed in 'immortality'.

These are religious orders who were monks and priests first, and warriors last.  Both religious groups practiced kung fu for physical fitness; self-defense in remote regions against bandits; and both believed in being 'self-sufficient' in all ways and things which martial arts practice trained one to be self-sufficient.
