  1. youtube just try to learn one song at a time the way it works and terms arent that important but people make instructional videos on there

  2. websites? well i don't know of any.. just acoustic guitar books i personally have learned a little skills from. any kind of book is good, as long as it has a complete list of chords, frets, and all that jazz, you're  a-ok.

then when you really get the hang of playing chords, plucking and whatever, test your skills at www.ultimate-guitar.com and try playing some songs as practice.

  3. learn the chords first ( Am.G.E.D C.)

then memorize them then practice playing the chords with no help or answer .

    find those chords on youtube....goodluck

  4. Pick your favorite song that is played on guitar. Find the tablature on-line, Google "guitar tabs" there are a lot of sites with them. Learn to read guitar tablature, it is not as difficult as reading real sheet music, its pretty basic. Google any possible videos of the actual artist playing that song, especially any acoustic performances, or any videos where you can see the hands in action. Then listen and practice, again and again and again until you are playing what you hear. You can do all of this on your own just using the Internet. Pick a real guitar song too, not like Elton John on the piano, or Mozart. There are guitar versions of those music but for starting, pick a real guitar song.

  5. it helps a lot if you have someone to play with. someone who is better than you even if they are not a teacher.

i have seen lots of videos on youtube showing the choards to different songs.

  6. www.ultimate-guitar.com

That site was a gold mine for me when I started to play guitar about 4 years ago, I just looked up some of my favorite artists and then tried really hard to learn their easier songs. Pay close attention to rhythm and the chord placements, start slow, then go to full speed.

Try learning some stuff from MxPx's CD "The Everpassing Moment", thats the first CD I learned from.

  7. ohhh well most of the people you will meet will mainly ask you for money even on the net..........

but then theres this bloke...........i think hes really good......i mean most of what i learnt ........i got it from him.....n iv been playin for bout a month now.........n i think im quite good!

    http://guitar.about.com/library/blguitar...

or........u can maybe search on the internet on this guy who gives a free 30 minute guitar basics guide.......which is this great thin that teaches chords n all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
