Learning about football?

ok so im kinda rlly girly but ive always been interested in football! only problem is i dont understand like any of it! can some one please explain it to me?

At the most basicness of it you get 4 tires(downs) to advance the ball 10 yards. If you do that you start over at 1st down and you get 4 more tires to go anther 10 yards. If after the 3rd try howerver you have not made it 10 yards you can either go for it and try to make it the rest of the way, but if you do not make it the other teams gets the ball where you ended up. You can also punt to make the other team start farther back on the field or if you are close enough you can kick a field goal which is worth 3 points. If you make it all the way to the end zone you get 6 points and a chance to get either 1 or 2 more. Normally, the team chooses to kick for the extra point but sometimes the go for what is called the 2 point conversion which they get 1 play to try and get the ball in the end zone. The game has 4 quarters each lasting 15 minutes.

If you've watched basketball baseball etc. football's just about like that. But in football there's more contact. Basically there are two teams of 14 players. The main objective of football is to reach the end zone.  (The area at the end of the Field.)One of the most important things to know is that males and females can play football. Ok.

The main goal is to get the football into the other teams end zone.

You get 4 chances to get the ball passes 10 yards. If you get the ball past the yards in 4 or less downs you try again and if you don't then the other team will punt the ball and the other team will catch it or let it go then where/ever it lands that is where the other team get's the ball or if they catch it they are alound to run and then the offence becomes the deffence just for a short amount of time. Then the other teams offence comes out because the defence got them the ball and the other teams defence comes out.

Football Terms

Saftey is when a play gets tackeled in thier own endzone and gives the other team 2 points(defence).

Touchdown is when the team gets the ball into the others players end zone this is worth 6 points now once the get it in they can get 1-2 more points . 1 point by kicking a field goal and 2 points by is what they call a conversion they have to throw or rune the ball to some one in the endzone.

Field Goal again is worth 3 points if the team is close enough to the field goal post(The big yellow thing near the endzone)but its only worth three points if they didn't score a touchtown.

Thats about all the terms you need.

Thier are 4 quarters in football. After the first two quarters of the game its called half time where the players go to the locker room and cool down and the coaches tell them what to do now depending if thier losing or winning. To determine who kicks off in the beggning of the game they flip a coin and who ever wins decides if they want to recieve the other team kicks off the ball and they catch it and run it and when ever they get tackled that is wear the ball is. If they want to kick off to the other team they will then after half time the other team that didn't start with the ball will get kicked off to.

Here are some pentaltys. Now when you see the pentalty theier will be a yellow flag thrown that means penalty and red flag is a challenge flag that say another team got called a penalty and the other teams coach didn't think it was right

they can challenge the play and the refferes will review the

play then make the dinal descision they will say after the review of the play seahawks did faceguard number 84 on the defence.

Facequard, the deffence grabs the players helmet.

False start- the offence starts after the 30 seconds they are alound to snap the football.

Interception- The defence catches the ball instead of the offence then the defence must run to thier end zone to score if they get tackeled then thier offence comes back on

if they dont score a touchdown.

Incomplete Pass- The offence throws the ball and the player catches it out of bounds.

Postions

Offence-

Quaterback gets the ball from the center and either runs it

or throws it to some one.

Center- snaps the ball once the quarter back says hutt hutt

Running back- runs the ball once the center snaps it to the quarter back and hands it off to the running back

Thier are two guards they keep out the defence from tackling the quarter back in the backfield.

Tight End- May help the guards if they need it.

Tackels-line upside the guards to block any more coming

Wide reciever go wide so they can advance 25 or more yards.
