Question:

Learning to Drive | A Little Nervous?

I'm getting my permit October 7 and I'm kind of nervous about learning to drive.

I mean, I tried driving in the parking lot like a few months ago for like 5 minutes to see how good I was starting out. But I hit the gas and brake too hard. And I'm a good parker but I turn into the spot too fast.

And I'm nervous when I actually take the test. It's all on the road. I'm afraid that I'm going to rear end someone or they will do it to me. We start out in a little developement which is right by my house and then we go straight onto a really busy highway and that is what I'm nervous about. They tell us to drive with the traffic on a highway and the speed limit is 65mph and people drive a minimum of 70-75mph here and go as fast as 85-95mph.

Seriously, how hard is it to drive? Since I've never driven on a road.

Any tips?

I keep having bad thoughts of things that might happen. :/ Please tell me everything I should know.

Plus I'm afraid to be driving like the textbook way. Because us NJ drivers kind of make up our own way of driving. haha

  1. look it good to be  nervous  because you might not forget the lil things that some one els that is like(im the best and came back and failed) so just do every thing you need to do and relax and talk to the techer or who ever your with and drive more  and more with your mom or dad and get the fealin of the brake and gas pedail... the more you drive the better off you will be the time of the test

  2. The best thing you can do is just relax.  You need to follow the rules of the road, but people rarely randomly slam on the brakes so you are unlikely to rear end someone during your test.  You'll get used to driving and it will be a piece of cake.
