Learning to drive - AA,BSM or independent driving instructor?

which is better for learning to drive AA,BSM or independent driving instructor in Aberdeen?

It's best to ask people who've had recent experience with all 3 to decide, although instructors may vary a lot within a company such as AA.  If one of your friends has had a good experience with a certain instructor you can request the same person.

I think that it does not matter if it is the AA or an independent instructor beacuse the AA or BSM empoly instructors they all have to be trained and pass tests. But like the others sais AA and BSM are expensive.

The company is irrelevant. It's the quality of the individual instructor who matters.

go by recomendation and pass results whoever you go with you can change instructor if you dont feel right with them dont tie yourself to anyone by paying up front for your lessons

Independent will be cheaper, guarenteed. I have also heard bad things about business instructors such as BSM (they insisted that my brother-in-law wasn't ready for a driving test, when he perfectly was...they wanted to fleece as much money off him as possible). Then again, my father is an independent driving instructor and has been for nearly 20 years, so I would be slightly biased! Good luck with whatever you decide though :o)

Firstly, there is a minority of instructors who will "fleece" pupils. BSM certainly don't have instructors like that, not that I know of.

When you go with BSM, you are constantly being monitored, not just by the instructor but by the office too. They keep a check and question the instructor about the pupil if they are ready for the tests, they have regular phone call check ups with the pupil so if the instructors is telling porkies they will find out.  

With a school, if you have any problems with the instructor then they can change them, no questions asked.  Simple.  

Best thing to do is ask friends/family about their driving instructors and go with that.
