Learning to fly in south Africa?

I'm a british citizen living in the UK and i'm thinking of learning to fly in south africa. My goal at the moment is just to gain a PPL. I then wish to use this licence back home. Can anyone tell me of the implications of gaining my PPL in south africa and any difficaulties i'm likely to face. Many Thanks Tony

Its a very good idea. Costs in SA are really low compared to the UK, or anywhere else in Europe, the US, etc. The standards are the same. Converting a SA PPL to a European one is just a formality.
