What names, currently in use do you dislike? I don't really like the look of names that have the spelling changed too much, names that are made up or names that are over-used at the moment. What about you?

  1. i agree with you.i hate made up ,misspelled ,trendy ghetto names.that everyone uses cause they think it will make their kid cool or popular or pretty or talented.it doesn't but a strange name can make a innocent child the butt of cruel jokes and harassment their whole lives.

    names help or they hurt

MARY ANN JONES MAY BE THE BRIGHTEST MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN HER CLASS AND PEOPLE WILL THINK MARY ANN IS A GREAT NAME  BUT MARY ANN IS WHATS GREAT! SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS.

on the other hand little lashawn osama tyrell vick is going to have a tough time.people will form an opinion of him long before he is met.he will have to struggle just to be heard cause no one takes a person seriously when they have such a "unique" name.

please do not make life harder on your kids than it already is and good luck!

  3. Hammer, tool, joeline, and ranker

  4. Nevaeh

    Destiny

    Trinity

    Faith

    Kaylee

    Kylee

    Rylee

    Baylee

    Kyla

    Kayla

    Jayla

    Jaelyn

    Kaylin

    Raelyn

    Lynn

    Brooklyn (ubless it's a pet's name)

    Jaden

    Hayden

    Kaydon

    Braeden

    Aidan

    Grayden

    Zaiden

    Payton

    Emma

    Olivia

Cadence (you might as well name your child Rhythm)

There are many many MANY more, but too little room to list them all.

  5. I agree about what you said. Poor children named "Bayleigh" and "Gennafur." Silly things like that will only make the child seem silly when they are an adult!

And I hate names like Jayden and Brayden for boys. Also, Bailey for boys. Having a unisex name kind of sucks, and I know (I'm a girl Alex that knows about 7 boys with the same name.)

And the parents that give their child a very popular name KNOWING that is very popular name are ridiculous. Having your last initial tacked on to your first name is irksome.

  6. i dont like the names that everyone is getting/reciving. like elizabeth, kathryn, katie, sarah, names like that because there are so many of them. hope i helped.

  7. Nevaeh - (heaven backwards) is waaaay over-used

Anything that replaces a typical ending of "ie" with "ee" (the child will be an adult one day and may not appreciate a name like Charlee Rokett or something like that).

Maybe I am just too much of a traditionalist, but classic names are called classic for a reason!

Some of the suggestions for unique spellings just seem confusing:

    Allisohn

    Andhrew

    Anndrew

    Bhryan

    Branhdon

    Crystene

    Hylari

    Jennifhr

    Jocelinnhe

    Nathanil

    Nicohle

My nieces have somewhat unusual names, but they are very proud of their names because of the meanings behind them (Shaney Tariatha means "beautiful little girl") and the family connections (Verity Grace means "truth and grace" and her great-grandmother's name was Grace) that they will have forever.

    My two cents...

  8. I don't like weird spellings either.

    Names i can't stand:

    Peyton for a girl

    Poppy

    Pippa

    Pepper

    River

    Laiken

    Ocean

    Neveah

    Ashley for a boy

  9. I dont like names that have been changed too much, like, Rebecca - Rebekah, Rebecah etc..

and i also hate names like Mackenzie. They're waaaay too chav'vy!

And names like that are real old - barbara, mary, and others like that.

    x

  10. i am like you i like common names not too much of crazy names for ex.

    kiely

    skylar

  11. Names that are just plain made up or have no meaning.

  12. any names that are crazy and weird. i dont like serenity.

  13. I don't like crazy spellings of names either. I am also not a fan of unique names that have now become trendy. (all of the aden names, Hayden, Jayden, etc.) Names like that aren't going to be unique anymore, they are like the Jennifers, Jessicas, and Lindseys of the new generation.

  14. i love original names, not cookie just unheard of

i cant stand names like John, Luke, Chris, Kate, Sarah, Melissa... They are very common and you hear them everywhere, I also HATE the names like Paris, Porsha, liberty etc etc

  15. i love crazy names. and ones that have different spellings. from a person with a name used waaaay to much it would be nice to have a cool crazy name.

  16. Mark, Frank, Drew, Andrew, Patrick and Robert.

  17. old fashioned names like your grandmother or older had

. more up to date names are better. just as long as you like them

  18. I don't like names that you spend hours trying to pronounce it, names that are made up (Elizabelle, Jacealynia, Kariondeana), or names that are like Serenity, Angel, Destiney, Honor, and so on. I don't like names, like Gidget, Garrison. Too old fashioned like Elizabeth, Bethany, Sarah, Mildred, John, names like that I would never name my own child but I they are still nice traditional names. Names like Abigail, Hannah, Madelyn, that are too overused I like but are just too common. No offense to anyone! Pretty much what you said!

  19. I don't like popular names. I like to do unique names that most people don't have. My least favorite names right now are Emily and Aiden

  20. Any ghetto names like DeShawn, Aaliyah etc; misspellings like Mikull or something and old fashioned names like Gertrude and Enid. I know someone planning to name their kid Harkley/Harklie (-ley if it's a boy, -lie if it's a girl) which is also a terrible name.

  21. Madelyn or Madeline and I cannot for the life of me understand why everyone is using it when it sounds so boring to me, I think that it must be a default name when people cannot decide or something, or maybe they just give up.

  22. serena

    savannah

    serenity

    Kayla

    Loreli

    Hayden

    Hailey

    Jade

    Ciara

    Samantha

  23. Jesus.

    :p
