Leather chairs have rips in them?

I just made the last payment on my $1400.00 leather chair and dining table set and my 2 year old son and cat have ruined 5 out of my 8 chairs!!! I ran upstairs to do laundry and in 5 mins all of this happened. Cat put claw marks on the chairs and son somehow has a big piece of leather hanging down from the top of the chair! I have a housewarming party on the 26th of this month what can I do? Lots of Furniture sell leather repair kits.  Look for Furniture in the Yellow pages and make some calls. the web link is to one,  that was advertised on TV for $9.95.  I know nothing about them.  You can read and decide.
