Leather dye got wet and smeared allll over my fabric purse. HELP?

My dad tried washing my ivory fabric Dooney & Bourke purse with leather handles & trimming by soaking it in cold water mixed with soap. The black leather dyed the fabric of my purse and it's completely grey now. I was able to blotch out the dark spots of the black dye but the purse remains grey still. Is there ANY WAY or product that can remove dye from leather that has soaked onto another fabric? Thanks. :[

I think the damage is done, but you can try washing the purse in Murphy's soap and water.

Do not submerge the purse, put a towel under it and scrub it with the soapy water and then rub it dry with an old cloth, This may remove the leather dye,  in the future you tape the leather handle with masking tape when you wash a purse.
