Leave a letter in mailbox

Question

If I put a letter in my mailbox, will the mailman pick it up and bring it to the post office? Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't find a place to put mail related questions.

well he will u just got to put up the flag on ur mailbox. o yeah just to tell you sometimes it takes a day or 2 before he picks it up. hope that helps
