Leaves on palm plant are orange why?

my mom has a majesty palm its by a window . but some of the leaves are turning orange why ?And how can i fix this Help

  1. if it was always orange hten it may not be a majesty palm, or some genetic variation of one. it is probably old leaves and you can just cut them off as long as its one or two and not 20 or 30


  2. they will be dead leaves. you need to make sure you water the plant regularily otherwise the leaves will dry out and go an orange colour. in leaves there is a substance called chlorophyll which is a kind of green pigment and when the plant doesnt get enough water, the chorophyll is damaged and so the leaf is no longer green and will be dead as it cant get energy from the sun as it has no chorophyll to do so
